Best FRM Institutes in Mumbai: Which One Fits You?

August 17, 2026 16 min read
On this page

Risk sounds abstract until you put a number against it. A bank lends ₹10 crore to a company. The company runs into trouble. A portfolio manager buys bonds and interest rates rise. A trading desk holds a position that suddenly becomes hard to sell. A financial institution depends on a model that gives the wrong signal.

Someone has to measure what could go wrong. That is the work sitting behind financial risk management. The FRM certification from GARP covers this field from several angles. Part I deals with foundations, quantitative analysis, financial markets and products, and valuation and risk models. Part II moves into market risk, credit risk, operational risk, liquidity and treasury risk, investment management and current issues. GARP There is also a useful career signal here.

GARP’s 2025 Global Practice Analysis found that 55% of risk professionals spend at least half of their working time on risk management tasks. The report also found that 42% see AI and machine learning as an important area for further learning. Climate risk is already part of the work for 40% of respondents. GARP’s 2025 Global Practice Analysis That helps explain the current FRM syllabus.

The 2026 curriculum includes topics such as artificial intelligence, private credit, geopolitical risk, government debt, crypto assets and digital resilience. These sit alongside the core areas of market, credit, liquidity and operational risk. GARP’s 2026 Required Readings

How Much Work Does FRM Preparation Take?

GARP puts the average study time at about 240 hours. Candidates in its survey reported a wide range, from less than 100 hours to more than 400 hours. That is a big spread. A finance graduate who already knows bonds and derivatives may move faster through some chapters. An engineer may be comfortable with the maths but need more time with financial markets. Someone from a non-finance background may need to build both areas from scratch.

Your coaching institute has to fit that reality. You will also need to get comfortable with the exam itself. Part I has 100 questions and Part II has 80 questions. Both papers have a four-hour time limit.

A coaching centre therefore needs to do more than run lectures. You need enough questions to practise. You need mocks. You need a way to find weak topics. You need someone to explain the parts that refuse to make sense the first time. With that in mind, here are the Best FRM Institutes in Mumbai worth considering.

    1. Imarticus Learning

Imarticus Learning has a dedicated FRM Course prep and lists it as a GARP-approved Exam Preparation Provider. The current course includes AnalystPrep resources, expert-led training, one-to-one pre-placement mentoring and a published pass guarantee.

Pass Support100% pass guarantee with 50% fee refund, subject to terms

    What You Get

The AnalystPrep access is one of the clearer features of the programme. Imarticus says students receive AnalystPrep’s FRM study tools, including question banks, practice exams and guided learning resources.

The institute also lists a pre-course module. That can be useful when you have been away from finance for a while and want to build some base knowledge before starting Part I.

The current course page lists ₹90,000 for Part I and Part II training. Imarticus also states that the programme has a 100% pass guarantee with a 50% refund of the course fee in case of failure, subject to its terms and conditions.

    Who It May Suit

I would look at Imarticus when you want the exam preparation and career side handled within the same programme. The AnalystPrep question bank is also useful for someone who knows that practice will be a major part of their preparation.

Before paying: ask for the current batch timetable, faculty assigned to the batch and the latest terms of the pass guarantee.

    2. Zell Education

Zell Education takes a fairly straightforward route with its FRM offering. Its Mumbai course page lists FRM-qualified trainers and AnalystPrep resources. It also publishes separate Part I, Part II and combined fees for its weekend format.

    What You Get

The AnalystPrep package includes study material, question banks, mock exams and formula sheets. Zell states that the AnalystPrep package is included for its students.

The weekend format will matter more to some candidates than the brand name. If you are working full time, a Saturday and Sunday routine can be easier to maintain than weekday classes. The current published weekend pricing is ₹40,000 for Part I, ₹40,000 for Part II and ₹75,000 for both.

    Who It May Suit

Zell is worth a closer look if you want a Mumbai programme with AnalystPrep built into the course and prefer a weekend schedule.

Before paying: check the exact batch dates, recording access and the current placement-support terms.

    3. The WallStreet School

The WallStreet School has an active Mumbai FRM Part I classroom option. Its current course listings show FRM Part I live online and Mumbai classroom batches.

    Best Known ForClassroom-led finance preparation

    What You Get

The current public schedule is clear about Mumbai classroom availability for Part I. The institute lists a 9 August 2026 Mumbai classroom and live online batch on its store page.

That gives Mumbai students something very practical to check. You can attend the classroom while still having the live online option available.

The current public pages reviewed do not give a reliable FRM fee for the Mumbai batch. I would therefore avoid putting an estimated number beside it.

    Who It May Suit

TWSS is worth considering when you prefer a classroom and want a more traditional teacher-led preparation routine.

Before paying: ask for the current Part II offering, mock-test count, question-bank access and total fee.

    4. QuintEdge

QuintEdge has a strong presence in finance and quantitative learning. Its FRM offering is particularly relevant for someone who wants to build towards risk and modelling work.

Best ForQuantitative finance and risk-focused learners

    What You Get

The Mumbai location is in Andheri West. QuintEdge has also listed Mumbai offline and live online options for FRM Part I.

There is a useful connection between FRM and the institute’s wider course ecosystem. QuintEdge also offers learning in areas such as financial modelling, valuation and risk modelling. That can make sense for someone who sees FRM as one part of a larger move into finance. I would still check the current FRM batch details rather than assume that every option shown in older course material is running now.

    Who It May Suit

QuintEdge is worth a look when you enjoy quantitative finance and want your FRM preparation to sit close to modelling and markets.

Before paying: confirm the current Part I and Part II formats, faculty and mock-test structure.

    5. Fintelligents

Fintelligents publishes unusually clear details about its FRM practice material. Its current Part I standard package lists 170 hours of video lectures, more than 3,500 questions and four exam-oriented mock papers.

    What You Get

The practice material is the main point to notice. The current Part I package includes chapter-wise questions, sectional tests, concept quizzes and exam-oriented mocks. Fintelligents also lists a study planner and performance tracker.

The Mumbai programme gives you a physical option as well as live online and recorded learning. The current standard Part I package is ₹35,000. The professional package is ₹45,000 and the physical package is ₹55,000 on the current published page.

    Who It May Suit

I would put Fintelligents high on the list for someone who likes to practise heavily.

Before paying: check the current Part II package, course validity and exact physical batch schedule.

    6. Boston Institute Of Analytics

Boston Institute Of Analytics runs an FRM programme through its School of Finance. Its Mumbai Andheri campus currently lists FRM as a five-month programme.

    What You Get

The Mumbai Andheri campus has FRM listed alongside CFA, US CPA and other finance programmes. The current campus page shows the FRM programme as five months and lists dedicated career support.

The institute’s wider School of Finance also covers investment banking, financial modelling and equity research. That gives you options if you want to build skills beyond the FRM syllabus. The public course page reviewed does not give enough detail to verify a current FRM question-bank size or mock count. I would not add numbers that the current page does not support.

    Who It May Suit

BIA may suit a candidate who wants a Mumbai classroom and a wider finance training environment.

Before paying: ask for the current FRM faculty names, mock schedule, question-bank access and course fee.

    7. RBei Classes

RBei Classes takes a very mentor-led approach. Its FRM programme is taught by Deepak Goyal, CFA and FRM Charterholder, according to its current website. The programme is listed as Noida plus online rather than Mumbai classroom.

    What You Get

The Platinum package currently lists 4,000+ questions, 90 CBT practice sets and eight full mock exams. It also includes one-to-one doubt solving with Deepak Goyal. There are three combined packages. The Basic package is listed at ₹25,000. Premium is ₹40,000. Platinum is ₹45,000.

RBei also publishes a 93% pass rate. That is the institute’s own reported figure. It should be treated as a provider claim. One thing is clear from the current site: this is an online option for Mumbai candidates. The site does not list a Mumbai classroom.

    Who It May Suit

RBei makes more sense when you are happy studying online and want direct access to the faculty.

Before paying: check the package validity and exactly which practice resources come with your chosen plan.

    8. Aswini Bajaj Classes

Aswini Bajaj Classes offers FRM through self-paced online courses. The current Part I course has 260+ hours of content and is priced at ₹17,001.

    What You Get

The Part I programme covers the foundation areas needed for the exam. The current page lists English and Hindi instruction and course validity until the candidate clears the exam, subject to the terms.

Part II is listed separately at 190 hours for ₹19,001. There is also a separate Current Issues course priced at ₹1,087. The institute is based in Kolkata. I could not verify a current physical Mumbai FRM classroom from its official course pages.

    Who It May Suit

This is better suited to you if you can study without needing a fixed classroom routine.

Before paying: check the current mock-test arrangement, question-bank access and support available for your selected attempt.

    9. Henry Harvin

Henry Harvin is the one entry where I would be particularly careful with the available public information.

The provider has a Mumbai office and offers a broad set of professional courses. However, I could not verify enough current FRM-specific information from its public pages to give you a reliable figure for its FRM fee, question bank, mock count or current Mumbai FRM batch.

    Course Snapshot

    DetailHenry Harvin

    QuestionsNot publicly verified
    MocksNot publicly verified
    FeeNot publicly verified
    Mumbai FRM ClassroomNot publicly verified

    What You Get

There is a reason I would leave these fields open. For a listicle like this, it is tempting to copy an old course description or attach features from another finance programme. That would give you a fuller-looking profile, but it would also make the article less reliable.

The current public information I could verify does not support those claims. So, if Henry Harvin is on your shortlist, ask for its latest FRM brochure. Get the course duration, faculty, study material, mock tests and Mumbai delivery mode in writing.

    Who It May Suit

Henry Harvin can stay on the shortlist for readers who already use its professional learning platform.

Before paying: verify the FRM course itself rather than relying on features shown for other finance certifications.

    10. FinTree

FinTree approaches FRM from a broader finance-learning angle. Its current programme focuses on risk frameworks and the use of quantitative tools across market, credit, liquidity and operational risk.

    What You Get

The course is built around the idea of applying quantitative tools inside risk frameworks. It covers market, credit, liquidity and operational risk. Ethics and governance are also included. FinTree

The current programme starts at ₹30,000. FinTree has different packages, so the final price depends on what you select.

This approach can work well for someone who wants to understand why a risk calculation matters instead of simply memorising the steps.

    Who It May Suit

FinTree is worth checking if you like finance concepts and want to connect the numbers with actual risk situations.

Before paying: confirm the current Mumbai batch, faculty, mock count and the exact resources included in your chosen package.

FRM Institutes In Mumbai At A Glance

There is a clear split here. A few names are better suited to someone who wants a physical Mumbai classroom. Others make more sense for online study. Your decision should start there.

    FRM Course Fees In Mumbai

The coaching fee is only one part of the bill. For the November 2026 FRM exams, GARP lists an early registration fee of $600 per part and a standard registration fee of $800 per part. The figures do not include applicable taxes. Here are the coaching fees that are publicly available.

Do not compare these numbers without checking what sits inside each package. A low fee may cover recorded lectures only. Another package may include live classes, question banks, mocks and faculty support.

What Should You Look For In FRM Classes In Mumbai?

I would keep this part simple. Take a demo class. Pick a difficult topic. Quantitative Analysis is a good choice. Then watch how the teacher handles it.

    • Do they explain the idea first?
    • Do they show where the formula fits?
    • Do they solve a question?
    • Do they explain the wrong answers?

That tells you more than a brochure full of course features. You should also ask about the practice system.

    QuestionWhy It Matters
How many questions are included? You need repeated practice
How many full mocks are included? You need exam simulation
    Are mocks timed?FRM is a time-bound exam
Can faculty review mistakes? You need to fix weak areas
Are recordings included?Useful when work gets busy
How long does access last?Important for delayed attempts
Is the syllabus updated?GARP revises the curriculum
Is Mumbai classroom delivery active?Batch availability changes

GARP publishes the Learning Objectives and required readings for each exam year. Check that your institute’s material matches the current version.

Which Institute Makes Sense For You?

You can make the choice much easier by starting with your own situation.

    You Want A Mumbai Classroom

Look at Imarticus Learning, Zell, The WallStreet School, QuintEdge, Fintelligents, Boston Institute Of Analytics and FinTree. The current public information supports Mumbai access for these providers. Batch schedules can change, so confirm the date before enrolling.

    You Want Heavy Question Practice

Start with Imarticus Learning,  Fintelligents, RBei and The WallStreet School. Fintelligents currently publishes 3,500+ questions for its Part I standard package. RBei’s Platinum package lists 4,000+ questions and 90 CBT practice sets. TWSS publishes a large Part I question bank.

    You Work Full Time

Imarticus, Zell,  and The WallStreet School are worth checking first for structured learning options. Weekend or recorded access can make a big difference when your work week gets unpredictable.

    You Prefer Self-Paced Study

Imarticus Learning, Aswini Bajaj Classes and FinTree are worth examining. Aswini Bajaj lists 260+ hours for Part I and 190+ hours for Part II. FinTree offers self-paced packages alongside instructor-led options.

    You Want Direct Faculty Support

Imarticus and RBei have clearly stated mentoring or doubt-support features. Imarticus lists one-to-one pre-placement mentoring. RBei’s premium packages include one-to-one doubt solving with Deepak Goyal.

Five Things I Would Check Before Enrolling

You can narrow your final choice with five questions.

    1. Who teaches Quantitative Analysis?

This subject can decide how comfortable you feel with Part I.

    2. How many full mocks do I actually get?

Ask for a number. Also ask whether they are timed and computer-based.

    3. How long will I have access to the material?

This matters when you work full time or change your exam attempt.

    4. Is the course updated for the current GARP syllabus?

Ask to see the syllabus mapping.

    5. What happens when I get stuck?

A WhatsApp group, a discussion forum and one-to-one faculty support are very different things. Ask exactly how doubt solving works.

That last question is easy to overlook.

You can watch a 40-minute lecture without any problem. The trouble usually starts when you sit alone with a difficult question two days later. That is when you need to know who you can ask.

    A Final Shortlist

If I were narrowing the Best FRM Institutes in Mumbai to a first shortlist, I would use the following starting points:

    What You Care AboutStart With
Structured programme and career supportImarticus Learning
    AnalystPrep resourcesImarticus Learning, Zell Education
Mumbai classroomImarticus, Zell, TWSS, QuintEdge, Fintelligents, BIA, FinTree
    Large published question bankFintelligents, RBei
    Quantitative financeQuintEdge, FinTree
    Self-paced preparationAswini Bajaj Classes, FinTree
    One-to-one online mentoringRBei Classes
Live classroom learningTWSS, Zell, BIA, Fintelligents

There is no need to call ten institutes. Pick three that match your learning style. Ask each one for the current batch details. Watch a demo class. Compare the question bank and mocks. Then look at the total cost. That will give you a much clearer answer than choosing an institute from a ranking alone.
