Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of this website, your interaction with the Imarticus School of Finance & Business ("ISFB", "the School", "we", "us"), a school of Imarticus Learning Private Limited ("Imarticus Learning"), and your application to, admission into and continued enrolment in any programme offered by ISFB. By submitting an enquiry, an application, or an enrolment form, or by accepting an offer of admission, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these Terms. Where the applicant is a minor, the parent or legal guardian accepts these Terms on the student's behalf and is jointly bound by them.
ISFB may amend these Terms from time to time at its sole discretion. The version published on this website is the version in force. Students will be informed of material changes through the Learning Management System ("LMS") or their registered email address.
Communication and Data Consent
By providing your contact information and opting to receive phone calls, emails, WhatsApp messages and SMS from us, you will receive programme brochures, admission information, fee and scholarship details, campus and event invitations, webinar participation details and other relevant information to help you make an informed decision about applying to ISFB. Your privacy is important to us, and your preferred communication channels will be used exclusively for purposes related to our educational offerings.
When you voluntarily submit your information through our website — for example by filling out an enquiry or application form, registering for a campus visit or an information session, or contacting us by email — we collect and retain that information in order to respond to your queries and provide our services. The information collected may include your name, email address, phone number, city, academic qualifications and details of your prior education. By submitting your details, you expressly authorise ISFB and Imarticus Learning to contact you by phone call, SMS, email and WhatsApp in relation to our programmes, services, offers and other relevant updates, even if your phone number is registered under DND/NDNC.
Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Enrolled students further consent to ISFB sharing their personal data, academic records, attendance and completion status with academic partners, examination and certification bodies, immersion and travel partners, and recruiters, strictly for the purpose of delivering the programme and its associated academic, certification and placement services.
Academic Regulations
All programmes at ISFB are governed by the academic rules, regulations, handbooks and codes of conduct published by the School, and by applicable domestic legislation, each of which may be published and revised from time to time. Students are required to familiarise themselves with the Student Handbook and the academic calendar applicable to their batch.
ISFB is obligated to make personal academic information available to regulatory, statutory, accreditation and administrative bodies, and to academic and examination partners, for academic and statistical purposes, if required.
The academic calendar, semester schedule, examination timetable, credit structure and evaluation scheme are determined by the School and may be revised where reasonably necessary. Where a programme is delivered in association with an academic partner, the regulations of that partner will additionally apply to the relevant component of the programme.
Application Fee
An application fee, as notified by the Office of Admissions, is payable at the time of submitting an application. The application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable, and payment of the application fee does not by itself confer any right to admission.
Programme fees differ by programme and by cohort and are as prescribed by the Office of Admissions. ISFB reserves the right to revise the fee applicable to any programme from time to time. Fees notified at the time of admission apply for the academic year for which admission is granted; fees for subsequent years of a multi-year programme are subject to the annual revision notified by the School.
Admission and Enrolment
An offer of admission is made on the basis that the information supplied in your application is accurate, true and complete, and that you hold the qualifications stated in the application form. Admission is provisional until all mandatory documents have been verified and all applicable fees have been received by the stipulated dates.
By enrolling as a student, you agree to abide by the rules and regulations of ISFB. These currently include general disciplinary rules and regulations relating to campus conduct, examinations, assessments, learning, training, attendance, fees, immersions and placement services. These may change from time to time at the sole discretion of the School. ISFB will make reasonable efforts to keep students informed of any such changes.
If a student is unable to submit the documents supporting or testifying to their eligibility for the programme by the prescribed last date, ISFB reserves the right to withdraw or terminate the admission with immediate effect without any recourse to the student.
If any information provided in the application is found to be inaccurate, misrepresented, fictitious or supported by forged documents, ISFB reserves the right to cancel the admission with immediate effect and without any recourse to the student, at any stage of the programme, including after the award of a certificate.
If a student fails to pay the requisite fees in the pre-agreed instalments within the stipulated time, along with the grace period allowed, ISFB reserves the right to cancel the admission. The grace period is 7 days from the stipulated due date. ISFB also reserves the right to offer the seat to another candidate in place of the defaulting student.
ISFB reserves the right to defer, reschedule, relocate or not commence a programme or cohort where the number of confirmed admissions, faculty availability, partner arrangements, regulatory requirements or other circumstances make it unviable to do so. Where ISFB withdraws an offer of admission or does not commence a cohort, the consequences for fees paid are governed by the Fee Refund Policy.
Admission to a programme does not guarantee progression. Although candidates may be admitted initially as prospective students, continuation in the programme depends on academic performance, attendance and conduct.
Attendance, Assessment and Conduct
Students are required to maintain a minimum of 75% attendance in every course, semester and scheduled academic activity, including immersions, laboratories, workshops, industry sessions and placement preparation sessions. Failure to meet the attendance requirement may result in the student being debarred from assessments and will disqualify the student from placement services.
If a student is absent for a continuous period of 7 session days without approved leave, or fails to secure the threshold passing percentage in the assessments conducted from time to time, ISFB reserves the right to cancel the student's admission without any recourse to the student.
Assessments may be conducted on campus or online, and may be proctored, including through AI-assisted or remote proctoring. Students agree to comply with the examination and proctoring protocols notified by the School.
ISFB maintains a strict standard of academic integrity. Plagiarism, unauthorised collaboration, impersonation, fabrication of data, misuse of generative AI tools contrary to the stated assessment guidelines, and any form of malpractice in examinations or submissions will attract disciplinary action, up to and including cancellation of the assessment, withholding of results, and termination of enrolment.
ISFB reserves the right to exclude from studies forthwith any student who wilfully and persistently neglects their academic work to such an extent that there is no reasonable possibility of the student being regarded as having duly performed the work of the programme or being able to proceed to the next stage of the programme. In such circumstances, ISFB absolves itself from providing placement services.
Students are expected to conduct themselves professionally on campus, at partner premises, during immersions and at all events representing the School. ISFB does not tolerate ragging, harassment of any kind, substance abuse, or conduct that endangers the safety or dignity of any member of the ISFB community, and maintains policies on anti-ragging and prevention of sexual harassment in accordance with applicable law.
Curriculum and Programme Changes
The content of individual courses and the curriculum for any given programme are under constant academic review and may change from time to time, with some courses being modified, discontinued or replaced. Faculty allocation, session schedules, delivery mode and the sequencing of modules are subject to change. In addition, external factors may make it unviable for ISFB to provide a previously offered option.
Immersions, industry visits, live projects, competitions, guest sessions and similar experiential components are delivered in association with partner institutions and organisations, and are subject to those partners' availability, eligibility criteria and approvals. ISFB reserves the right to substitute, reschedule, relocate or withdraw any such component. Participation in international immersions is additionally subject to the student obtaining a valid passport, visa and any required clearances at their own cost and responsibility; ISFB is not liable for the refusal of a visa or for any consequence arising from it.
Certification tracks and preparation for professional qualifications offered alongside a programme are subject to the eligibility rules, examination schedules, examination fees, exemptions and policies of the respective awarding bodies, which are outside the control of ISFB. Registration, examination and membership fees payable to those bodies are payable by the student unless expressly stated otherwise in the fee schedule.
Certification and Records
On successful completion of the programme, subject to meeting the attendance, assessment, conduct and fee requirements, the student will be awarded the certificate or credential specified in the programme documentation applicable to their cohort.
ISFB reserves the right to withhold the award of any certificate, transcript, mark sheet or original document, and to disallow a student from appearing in scheduled assessments, certifications or examinations, until all fees and dues have been paid in full. In such an event, placement services will not be offered to the student.
In the event of non-payment by a student of any sums due, ISFB may raise proceedings for recovery and may withhold original documents and academic records, and may inform future institutions or employers to the extent permitted by law.
Fees, Cancellation and Refunds
For any reason, ISFB reserves the right not to provide any particular programme, course, curriculum or facility, to make variations to the content or method of delivery of courses, to discontinue courses, and to merge or combine cohorts, where such action is reasonably considered necessary by the School.
All matters relating to withdrawal, cancellation of admission and the refund of fees — including refund slabs and cut-off dates, the treatment of the application fee and the one-time admission fee, processing charges, the treatment of scholarships, and the timelines within which refunds are processed — are governed exclusively by the ISFB Fee Refund Policy, as published and updated on the ISFB website: https://imarticus.org/school-of-finance-and-business/refund-policy/.
In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and the Fee Refund Policy on any refund-related matter, the Fee Refund Policy prevails.
Withdrawal requests must be made in writing to the Office of Admissions at isfb@imarticus.com. A request is treated as received on the date the written request reaches the Office of Admissions. Fees paid are non-transferable between students and may not be adjusted against any other programme except with the express written approval of the School.
Where an admission is cancelled by ISFB on account of non-submission of mandatory documents, misrepresentation, forged documents, non-payment of fees, disciplinary action, or a student's voluntary discontinuation, the entitlement to any refund (if any) is determined solely in accordance with the Fee Refund Policy.
Other charges: students may incur additional expenditure on items such as immersion travel and stay, fieldwork, examination and registration fees payable to external certification bodies, specialist materials, and optional co-curricular activities. Although some subsidy from ISFB may be available towards such expenditure, responsibility for payment rests with the student. In addition, small charges may be levied for items such as course materials, photocopying and printing.
Intellectual Property and Confidentiality
All curriculum, course content, case studies, simulations, recordings, assessments, question banks, software, LMS content and distributed materials are the proprietary intellectual property of ISFB, Imarticus Learning or their licensors and partners.
Students agree to maintain the confidentiality of the course content and distributed materials, and agree not to reproduce, distribute, upload, record, resell or otherwise make them available to any individual or platform, whether voluntarily or involuntarily. Infringement of any intellectual property rights may result in termination of enrolment, and the student may additionally be subject to civil or criminal proceedings.
All information provided by ISFB is deemed proprietary and confidential. A student will not disclose, distribute, redistribute or retain any confidential or proprietary information in any form, in perpetuity, including after completion of the programme.
By signing the enrolment form, the student provides consent to ISFB for the use of their name, photograph, video, testimonial, academic achievements and placement details in the School's publicity, marketing, advertising and communication material, across all media. A student may withdraw this consent for future use by writing to the School.
Career Services and Placements
ISFB provides career preparation and placement assistance as part of its programmes. The student clearly agrees that no representation or guarantee has been made by ISFB in respect of job placements, salaries, roles, locations or the number of interview opportunities. Any discussions, statistics or correspondence in this regard are indicative only and do not create a contractual obligation, save where the programme documentation expressly states otherwise.
Eligibility for placement services is conditional on the student meeting the attendance, assessment, conduct and fee requirements of the programme. Historical placement outcomes, alumni data and recruiter lists published by ISFB and Imarticus Learning describe past results and are not a promise of future outcomes.
Campus, Property and Liability
If any damage to property is attributable to a particular student or students, its full replacement value as assessed by ISFB will be promptly paid by the student. Failing payment within 7 days, the amount may be deducted from the student's fees, and the student may be withheld from training and from successful completion of the programme, besides other remedial measures.
ISFB cannot accept responsibility, and expressly excludes liability, for loss of or damage to students' property, including, without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, the transfer of computer viruses to students' equipment.
The liability of ISFB and Imarticus Learning of any nature towards a student is limited to the extent of the fees paid by that student. ISFB shall not be liable to students for punitive, exemplary, special, indirect or consequential damages.
ISFB shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, epidemics or pandemics, natural disasters, civil unrest, strikes, regulatory action, failure of utilities or telecommunication networks, or the withdrawal of a partner institution.
On Joining ISFB
Students must access and manage their LMS accounts and registered email regularly, as ISFB will send vital information from time to time — for example, on examination arrangements, attendance alerts, immersion logistics, placement notifications, and the issue of invoices and reminders — and will assume that students have opened and acted on these communications. It is each student's responsibility to check their LMS account and registered email to ensure that all official ISFB communications are received.
Any notice or information given by post which is not returned to the sender as undelivered shall be deemed to have been given 48 hours after the envelope containing the notice was posted. Any notice or other information sent by email or comparable means of electronic communication shall be deemed to have been duly sent on the date of transmission. It is the responsibility of the student to inform ISFB of any change in their address, phone number or email address. Notices sent to the last intimated contact details of the student shall be deemed to have been properly given.
Any notice or other information that either ISFB or the student is required to give to the other in connection with the agreement between them may be given by electronic means, by hand, or sent by first-class prepaid post or a comparable means of communication.
Students are issued LMS credentials, campus access credentials and, where applicable, institutional email accounts for their personal academic use only. These may not be shared. Misuse of ISFB IT systems, networks or access credentials is a disciplinary matter.
Health and Wellbeing of Students
The student (if a major) or their parents or legal guardians (if a minor) authorise ISFB to consent on the student's behalf to the student receiving emergency medical treatment (including blood transfusions), general anaesthetic and operations performed at a government or private hospital within India, as necessary for the student's welfare, where the parent or emergency contact cannot be reached in time. Parents must comply with ISFB's recommendations, which may include a reasonable decision to release the student when he or she is unwell.
ISFB may at any time require a medical opinion or certificate as to a student's general health where the School considers that necessary, as a matter of judgement, in the interests of the student or the School.
Students and parents must inform ISFB in writing of any known medical condition, health problem, disability or allergy, and must update the School if this changes. This is particularly important for participation in immersions, travel and residential components. ISFB will handle such information confidentially and will use it to make reasonable arrangements for the student's safety and support.
Grievance Redressal
Students may raise academic, administrative or welfare grievances with the Office of Student Affairs or the Office of Admissions at isfb@imarticus.com. Grievances are reviewed in accordance with the School's grievance redressal process, and the School will endeavour to respond within a reasonable time. Escalation routes, including the constituted committees for anti-ragging and for the prevention of sexual harassment, are notified in the Student Handbook and displayed on campus.
Status of the School and Recognition of Awards
Imarticus School of Finance & Business is a school of Imarticus Learning Private Limited, a private company incorporated under the Indian Companies Act. ISFB is not a university and, at no point, should it be considered to fall within the purview of the University Grants Commission, the All India Council for Technical Education, or any other statutory or national regulatory body. All ISFB programmes and the credentials awarded by ISFB are proprietary and autonomous.
Where a programme is run in association with, or offers a degree or credential from, a partner university, institution or professional body — including any degree that a student may pursue alongside an ISFB programme, and any global professional certification track — that award is conferred solely by the partner or awarding body concerned. It is the responsibility of that partner or awarding body to hold the necessary recognitions and approvals, and the student is responsible for verifying the authenticity, recognition and validity of that award directly with the partner or awarding body before enrolling.
Statements regarding partnerships, immersions, rankings, accreditations, awards or placement outcomes published on this website are descriptive of arrangements and results as at the date of publication, and are subject to change.
Use of this Website
The content of this website is provided for general information about ISFB and its programmes. While ISFB takes reasonable care to keep the site accurate and current, it does not warrant that the content is complete, error-free or continuously available, and reserves the right to modify or withdraw any part of it without notice. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; ISFB is not responsible for their content or practices. Fees, dates, curricula, faculty and partner arrangements published on the site are indicative and are confirmed only in the official admission and fee documentation issued by the Office of Admissions.
General
If any provision of the contract constituted by the student's acceptance of ISFB's offer of admission is held by any court or other competent authority to be void or unenforceable, in whole or in part, the contract shall continue to be valid as to its other provisions and the remainder of the affected provision.
These Terms, together with the offer of admission, the enrolment form, the fee schedule, the Fee Refund Policy, the Privacy Policy and the Student Handbook, constitute the entire agreement between the student and ISFB in relation to the programme, and supersede any prior representation or understanding.
The decisions of ISFB in relation to academic matters, assessments, disciplinary proceedings and the interpretation of these Terms will be final and binding on the student, subject to the grievance redressal process set out above and to applicable law.
Applicable Law
The agreement shall be deemed to have been made in Mumbai, India, and shall be construed and enforced in accordance with, and its validity and performance shall be governed by, the laws of India. Subject to the arbitration clause below, all disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai, India.
Arbitration
All disputes relating to or arising out of this agreement shall be settled by reference to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration shall be conducted by an arbitral tribunal consisting of a sole arbitrator. The venue and seat of arbitration shall be Mumbai, India, and the proceedings shall be conducted in English. The arbitration clause shall not apply where ISFB or its authorised representative decides to initiate proceedings against a student for any criminal offence, including but not limited to the dishonour of cheques.
