Nikhil Barshikar is the Founder & Managing Director of Imarticus.
His fifteen-year career spans a smorgasbord of roles within Investment Banking, all of which culminated in the founding of Imarticus Learning, a leading player in Investment Banking & Data Analytics education. He began his career in the Corporate Finance division of the erstwhile Lehman Brothers at New York, following which he moved to Mumbai to set up Lehman’s India operations. He has successfully managed large Operations, Technology, and Project teams at Nomura. His in-depth Investment Banking experience, ranging from strategic design to risk free transition, while handling large people driven organizations, has given him an excellent appraisal of the dilemmas faced by Financial Services and Analytics Consulting firms. This enables him to develop tailor-made strategies and solutions. He holds a joint MBA from Columbia University and London Business School.
Sonya Hooja is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Imarticus.
She has over nine years of work experience at Accenture (Management Consulting), Goldman Sachs and the erstwhile Lehman Brothers. She has worked across US, Singapore and India. Her primary roles comprise strategy development and project management across diverse industries such as financial services, education, public sector and pharmaceuticals. Sonya holds an MBA from INSEAD.
Harish is an Executive Director and heads the Mumbai Operations.
He also heads Corporate Relations for Imarticus. He is an advanced CISI certified trainer with over eighteen years of extensive experience in Investment Banking Operations & Training & Development. He set up the Training Academies of JP Morgan, Nomura and Stockholding Corporation and was the lead-trainer for the BFSI Content Development of NIS Sparta. Managing over 300 FTE’s in Investment Research and IB operations has given him an in-depth domain understanding of capital markets.
Jasjeet is an Executive Director and co-head of the Mumbai Center.
She also heads the Career Advisory Team at Imarticus. She has over fifteen years of cross-functional experience in financial services operations, Investment Banking Operations and Consumer Banking. She is an experienced Project Manager who has delivered a diverse change portfolio across Investment and Commercial Banking. Her areas of expertise are governance, training, and designing change frameworks. Jasjeet is a certified counselor in the Robert Carkhuff methodology.
Suresh is an Executive Director and Head of Training & Content at Imarticus.
He has over 12 years of experience in Investment and Corporate Banking with firms such as JP Morgan, Lehman Brothers, Nomura and ABN AMRO. He has worked across the trade lifecycle in Securities and Derivatives, with specific domain expertise in Middle Office Operations like MO Risk, Trade Support, Marketing Support, and Derivative Settlements, Asset Servicing & Reference data. Suresh represented India at the Global Product Strategy Committee and is widely consulted on off shoring strategy. Suresh is a post-graduate from Wellingkar Institute of Management and is CISI Certified in Advanced Operational Risk.
Apurva is an Executive Director at Imarticus Learning.
He is responsible for Corporate Relations and Strategy for the Firm and has 16 years of cross-functional expertise in Management, Corporate Relations and Finance. His primary role comprises business development, strategy formulation, process definition and management across diverse industries and he has a strong understanding of the L&D market. He started his career with Citibank in 2000 as a financial analyst. He was part of the founding team of an IT company, HOC.com, which has strong presence in the Finance and energy sector, and went on to become the Managing Director of the offshore center in India. He also co-founded the finance and leadership training company, Silver Brook and served as the Managing Director for many years.
Shikha is a Vice President and also head of Corporate Relations at Imarticus.
She brings over 12 years of experience in the Offshoring and Financial Services industry. Prior to joining Imarticus, she worked with organizations like Fidelity Information Systems, America Online and Mirus Solutions. She has handled various senior roles in Operations, Training and Recruitment. These stints have helped her build a strong network across the Banking and Financial Services organizations. Shikha holds an MBA from Apeejay School of Marketing.
Ravi is an Executive Director at Imarticus and heads Bangalore Operations.
He has over 13 years of experience in Investment Banking and Asset Management operations across Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, Nomura and Deutsche Bank. His domain expertise include pricing, fund accounting and administration, trade reconciliations and performance reporting. He has also worked in security processes across confirmation, settlements, and treasury, and has developed a keen understanding of derivative operations. Ravi provides an end-to-end landscape of the Asset Management industry pertaining specifically to Mutual funds and Hedge funds. Ravi has completed his Senior Management Program from IIM-C and is a post-graduate in finance from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies.
Mr Nanavati currently serves as the Managing Director of AN Steel Corp
and Bralco International Trading (Shanghai). He sits on the board of Imarticus Learning and has been managing businesses for over forty years and is a graduate of 1975 class of IIM, Ahmedabad and holds an LLB from Maneklal Nanavati Law College (Class of 1975).
Mr. Mitra is a well-known financial services professional in India and was
actively involved in setting up Standard Chartered Bank in India. Following that he became the Country Head- Corporate and Investment Banking at American Express Bank. Thereafter, he became the Managing Director of GIC Mutual Fund. In 1994 he joined the Aditya Birla Group as the Director, Financial Services and set up a very successful financial services business for the Group. He currently serves as Director on a number of boards and acts as an Advisor to a diverse set of companies. He is also involved with several reputed NGOs. He is a regular contributor to domestic and international publications and is a regular speaker in various forums. He has also been active in several important Committees and Chambers in India.
Amit is the co-founder of BlinC, an investment operations company
and sits on the Board of Imarticus Learning. He has about sixteen years of experience in Private Equity, Capital Markets, Asset management and Investment banking. Prior to BlinC, he was one of founding members at Kaizen Private Equity Fund, India’s first Education focused Private Equity Fund. He has held various advisory positions including being on the board of Thunderbird Private Equity Center at Thunderbird Global School of Management, Arizona, an advisory member of the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network for India, and advisory member for Angel Xpress, which focuses on educating slum children in Mumbai. He is a Chartered Accountant, an E-MBA from NMIMS, and part of the General Management program at Harvard Business School.
Sanjiv has over 40 years of Global Banking & Finance experience in
senior positions in Risk Management, Private Equity, Corporate and Investment Banking, Consumer Finance, Micro Enterprise lending & Wealth Management. He is a seasoned Business and Risk management professional with a sound knowledge of Global Financial Markets and well versed in Crisis Management. He has experience working in Canada, England, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates, and with Global Financial Institutions like Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citigroup, Bank Danamon (A Temasek Group owned Financial Institution), Bank of Montreal, and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant and specialized in advisory and tax for small businesses in London.
Tashwinder Singh (Mumbai) joined KKR in 2012 and is a member of KKR Capital
Markets. Prior to joining KKR, he was a Managing Director- Citi Private Bank Head at Citi Group. He was the Global Market Manager for India and was also responsible for developing and implementing business strategy for the Private Banking Business in India. He also represented Citi on Multiple industry panels on Private Banking and was a Member of Management Committee of Citibank India, Business Heads Committee resp. for Business Practice, ALCO and the Local Operating Management Committee. Tashwinder is a B.Eng and an M.B.A. from Delhi University.
Taranjit Jaswal has over thirteen years of experience across Corporate,
Investment Banking and Private Equity. Prior to joining Bank of America, Taranjit has worked with ICICI Venture and ICICI Bank’s Private Equity Fund of Funds business (2008 – 2010). Prior to joining Bank of America, Taranjit worked with ICICI Venture and ICICI Bank’s Private Equity Fund of Funds business (2008 – 2010). Prior to that, he was a part of Citibank’s Corporate and Investment Banking division where he helped originate and structure several deals across capital markets and derivatives in various industries. In addition, he is also a member of Mumbai Angels and has invested and worked closely with entrepreneurs. Taranjit is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and is a rank holder (17th Rank in India, November 2000).
Anil has over twenty years of experience in Global Capital Markets and was the
Managing Director at RBS. He has also held senior level positions with AIG and Citibank across product lines including global Corporate Banking, Debt Capital markets and Foreign Exchange.
Lalit is currently the Managing Director for Mast Global Business Services
(an L Brands Company), Co-founder & CEO of ANSR Consulting and the Founding Partner at Kyron. Previously, Lalit served as a Chair and President of Target India, and CEO for Datamatics, LG Group’s Software and R&D operations and News Corporation – STAR TV. While at News Corporation, Lalit was also the CEO of the News Corporation Venture Capital Fund in India (managing a portfolio of $250 M) and founding Managing Director of NDS Ltd (now a Cisco company). Lalit started his career in the Indian Navy before retiring as a Lieutenant Commander. Lalit holds an MS in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai.
Iqbal has more than seventeen years of experience in the areas of Predictive
Analytics for Retail and Consumer Lending. Her expertise lies in setting up analytics capabilities and developing various analytics solutions across retail and consumer lending. Iqbal worked at Target and Genpact/ GECIS for over 15 years. Her experience includes creating an enterprise analytics capability for Target Corporation through aggregation of talent, contextual & platform expertise and developing an analytics roadmap for Lowe’s Companies, Inc. Iqbal holds an MBA in Finance & Marketing from Xavier’s Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.
Akash is the founder of Infinite Analytics and has over fourteen years of
experience in technology, e-commerce and analytics. Code_n and Analytics India Magazine has called Infinite Analytics one of the most exciting big-data analytics start-ups in the world. Prior to Infinite Analytics, Akash co-founded India’s first and largest ticketing company, KyaZoonga (www.kyazoonga.com), in 2006. Prior to Kyazoonga, Akash was an engineer with Oracle/PeopleSoft in Silicon Valley. He has completed his B.E from College of Engineering, Pune, holds an M.S from University of Cincinnati and an MBA from MIT Sloan. Akash was also a Legatum Fellow for the year 2010, while at Sloan.
Amit was Partner in Management Consulting practice of KPMG India as
head of Data & Analytics consulting, He was the leader for Global Data & Analytics COE for KPMG Global. Amit was also Partner and Managing Director with Accenture Management Consulting where he led the global consulting practice for Advanced Analytics, Customer Insights, Sales and Marketing, transformation. segmentation, customer insight and Analytics practice for Global Accenture’s management consulting business.
