    Sorabh Kataria

    Sorabh is a Partner in the Valuation and Business Modelling Group in EY Mumbai and has been extensively involved in helping his clients navigate the transaction cycle . His experience across both the private sector and advisory role has given him invaluable insights into the valuation and fund raising cycle. His previous role was with EY Australia where he spent 8 years providing decision support modelling , valuation and transaction services to some of Australia’s largest businesses and technology companies. Prior to joining Ernst & Young Sydney in Jan 2007, Sorabh worked for General Electric for over ten years in a number of roles across the Capital units roles in Finance, Integration, Risk, Quality and Operations. Sorabh is a six Sigma quality black belt and an engineer and MBA (FMS ) by education.


    Sloka Balasubramanyan

    Sloka is an Associate Vice President in the valuations and business modelling team of EY in India. She has over 6 years of experience in valuations, financial modelling, project finance, corporate finance, decision support, and transaction analyses. She has worked across various sectors such as real estate, infrastructure (power, utilities, transportation), telecom, industrial products, pharmaceuticals and technology. She has been trained in EY UK’s Financial Modelling Group which is the center of excellence for financial modelling in EY and has been instrumental in devising and delivering EY’s own financial modelling training. Prior to joining EY, she was with the Valuations practice at PwC for 1 year and with their Restructuring practice for over 2 years. She is a Chartered Accountant and Masters in Commerce (M.com – Management) from Mumbai University.


    Vikas Gangwal

    Vikas is an Associate Vice President in the Valuation & Business Modelling team at EY India. He possesses 11 years of experience in corporate finance strategy and financial modelling which encompasses project financing, debt restructuring model builds and varied decision support tools for corporates. In addition, he also has vast experience of auditing financial models. He has been trained in EY UK’s Financial Modelling Group which is the centre of excellence for financial modelling in EY. He has hands on experience in sectors such as real estate development, hospitals, highways, airports, power, telecommunications, oil & gas and many more. He also has an experience of delivering financial modelling training. Prior to joining EY, he worked with organisations like DLF Limited, GMR Airports Limited, where he was part of their Corporate finance and Strategy teams. Vikas holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Amity University and Bachelor in Commerce (Honours) from MDS University.

    Shanin Thomas

    Shanin has over 12 years of expertise in Value Investing, Financial Statement Analysis, Business Valuation, and Behavioral Finance. He is a value investor and runs a boutique investment advisory firm, Analysewise Investment Advisors. He has delivered corporate training programs on Company Valuation, Industry Analysis, Equity Research, Business Valuation, Equity Markets, Fixed Income Markets etc. for leading Europe-based investment banks and several other corporates. Having worked as an Investment Banker with JP Morgan in their Mumbai and New York Offices, he was also part of a 4-member team which worked closely with MSD Capital, which is the family office of Michael Dell. Shanin is a qualified CFA (AIMR, USA) and has also completed his Bachelors in Electronics Engineering from Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (Mumbai University).


    Neha Idnany

    Neha has over 9 years of experience in investment analysis and portfolio management services, having worked for organizations such as Angel Broking and Malabar Investment Advisors. She is an Investment Analyst and her domain of expertise lies in value-driven bottom-up stock picking based on fundamental analysis. She has also assisted key functions such as such as operations, marketing and recruitment. Neha is an Electronics Engineer from Thadomal Shahani Engineering College, Mumbai and a holds a Post Graduate Diploma from Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad.

What is the format of the program?
 The Genpact Data Science Prodegree is delivered in Online learning mode to cater to your learning preferences while ensuring maximum learning efficacy.

  • Online batches: Live instructor-led virtual classes (webinars) with expert faculty for real-time learning and interaction with batch mates

Class times for both formats are fixed and you are required to be available for your classes at a predefined time each week. Both formats come with 53 hours of engaging instructor videos that you can watch as per your convenience before attending your lecture (be it in class or virtually).

Is an online training program right for me?
Virtual learning is recommended for candidates if:

  • You are comfortable with self-study
  • You want to learn at your own pace, anywhere and anytime
  • You do not require constant monitoring or follow-ups by instructors

What are the key topics that get covered in the degree?

The Financial Analysis Prodegree includes comprehensive coverage of financial accounting and statement analysis, financial modeling and valuation, equity research, corporate finance strategy and transaction execution. The core learning will happen via 127 hours of Instructor-led Classes at designated times on weekends. You will receive additional study material including:

  • Reference Material: Advanced accounts by Shukla and Grewal; Damodaran on valuation by Aswath Damodaran
  • 50 Hours of self-paced HD videos
  • Recordings of previous virtual classes
  • PowerPoint presentations
  • Additional reading material / eBooks
  • Case Studies

You will be given life-long access to a fully integrated online learning portal where all your learning material will be uploaded. You will need to log in to the learning portal using the credentials provided and navigate through the portal as required.

What is EY’s involvement in the Prodegree?

We have worked closely with EY as the Knowledge Provider to build an industry-aligned program. EY’s involvement includes:

    • 20 Hours of Program Delivery: Genpact leadership will conduct periodic guest lectures and provide instructor videos on key trends and real-world challenges plaguing the industry and mentor you in your journey towards job-readiness.
    • Curriculum Design: The curriculum has been designed in consultation with EY leadership to ensure you are learning only the very latest and most relevant subjects for a career in Financial Analysis.


  • Sharing of Caselets: EY leadership has shared real-world caselets and scenarios that you will work on during your program.

Can you give us some more details on the project work?

A key differentiator of our Prodegree is the heavy focus on ‘Learning by Doing’ to gain practical understanding of key concepts and practices. In addition to theoretical inputs from the trainer, we teach using case studies, project work, group discussions and simulations. After learning a new concept, we make you act, reflect, conceptualize and apply the learning in real world situations. Some sample class exercises and case studies for your reference include:

What are Webinars?

Webinars are live virtual classroom sessions that involve you, other students and your Instructor. During these real-time webinars, the Instructor will show you how to work with various systems and write code, review concepts, share insights with the aid of case studies and help with your project work. There will be real-time participation on the part of students who can also use this time to get their doubts clarified.
How often do I need to visit the Imarticus center?

  • Online batch: If you have signed up for the online program, you are not required to visit the Imarticus center at any point in time –The lectures and our interaction with you will be conducted virtually.

What certification will I receive on completion?

You will receive the industry endorsed Financial Analysis Prodegree certification, which will be co-branded with EY.
What if I miss a class?

The course features 127 hours of live instructor-led classes and another 53 hours of self-paced videos. You can view the videos, solve quizzes and work on your projects at any time that is convenient to you. The live instructor-led classes are held for 5 hours on Saturdays and Sundays at a prescribed time, where the entire batch interacts with the instructor at the same time.

  • Online batches: If you are not available for a virtual classes on weekends, the virtual classes are also recorded and uploaded on the LMS. You may refer to these recordings to ensure you don’t miss out on your learning.

What are the fees for the program?

The program fee for the EY Financial Analysis Prodegree is as follows:
